Financial Aid

Students admitted to the Brehm Scholars Program receive four-year scholarships covering tuition and all academic fees. Some Scholars may need to seek additional financial support to cover living expenses during their time in Ann Arbor. A variety of resources are available for this purpose, ranging from supplementary scholarships to loans. See the U-M Office of Financial Aid website for more information.

Student organizations

The U-M is home to a diverse spectrum of more than 1100 student organizations, including religious, political, ethnic and social service groups. These organizations provide a sense of community, offering exciting opportunities for learning, socializing and networking with others who share your interests. A full list of registered student groups can be found on U-M’s Maize Pages.

Michigan is also a leader in collegiate athletics. Its 25 intercollegiate teams are frequently ranked among the top in the nation. And the campus is rich with intramural and club sports opportunities, too. Whether you want to play a pickup game of ultimate frisbee or sing a rousing chorus of “Hail to the Victors” with more than a hundred thousand fellow football fans, U-M has the opportunity for you.

Life in Ann Arbor

Located an easy 40-minute drive from Dearborn via I-94, Ann Arbor is one of America’s all-time great college towns. The “big school in a small city” setting creates rich cultural, educational and recreational opportunities within a safe, attractive and welcoming community. The proximity to Dearborn means that Brehm Scholars are able to pursue a great Michigan education while still preserving strong ties to their family and the Dearborn community.
