The Scholarship
Benefits
The Brehm Scholars Program awards full-tuition four-year undergraduate scholarships to the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. Intended for graduates of Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan, the Program offers outstanding students and community leaders the exciting opportunities of a great Michigan education within a supportive and collegial environment.
Interested in a career in medicine? It gets better: Brehm Scholars who complete their undergraduate studies at U-M automatically become eligible for four more years of support as a Brehm Medical Scholar if they’re admitted to the University of Michigan Medical School.
Requirements
Candidates for the Brehm Scholars Program must be Fordson graduates, eligible for admission to the University of Michigan. They must also demonstrate a record of:
- Academic excellence
- Exceptional leadership
- Deep commitment to their communities.
The University requires that all applicants have at least two years of formal study of a second language. Native speakers of a foreign language (such as Arabic) must still take courses in that language to ensure full reading and writing—as well as speaking—proficiency.
To Apply
If you meet all of these criteria, Michigan’s financial aid office will automatically consider you for a Brehm Scholarship when you
apply to U-M. No additional paperwork needed!
